The majority of the house owners buy high quality tools and forget that proper storage, washing and arranging are the only thing that matters. Even the best equipment will be ruined by rust, flat edges and misplaced components. The good news? The process of the maintenance of your toolkit does not require much time and financial resources. There are simple steps, which will ensure your investment is secure and, at the same time, will ensure that all your tools are at your fingertips when you need them.
Clean Tools After Every Use
Clean up wiping agents to remove dust, grease and moisture. Corrosion and wear are increased by accumulation of dirt as the years pass and especially on the metal surfaces.
Keep Them Dry at All Times
The greatest distributor of instruments is wetness. Store your toolkit somewhere dry and might wish to add some sort of silica gel packets or other miniature dehumidifier in humid environments.
Oil Moving Parts Regularly
