The Google Pixel 6 became one of the most discussed smartphones the recent times as it ensures high-quality camera features and extended battery life. We tried it out for a whole day, work, commuting, social life, and evening events to get the idea of its performance in real life. The battery duration and the quality of the camera of the Pixel 6 were tested, starting with the morning check-ins to capturing spontaneous photos and videos. The results have been divided into points in this review based on everyday usability and not lab conditions, and therefore, the readers can have a clear picture of how the phone will work when it really counts.
Morning Startup

When the Pixel 6 was switched off, I had charged it to 100 per cent and unplugged it at 7 am. It was quick to load the home screen, and apps were responsive immediately. Notifications were quick, and system animations were not laggy.
Email and Messaging

There was no problem in processing emails and instant messaging in the morning. Push notifications were quick, and typing or file transfer did not put a heavy burden on the battery or performance.
Camera Test – Morning Light

Morning photographs were sharp and lively since the main camera was used with natural light. The colour was also accurate, and even the details in the background were well recorded, even when the light was at a challenging angle.
Commute Performance

Playing music and having the navigation at the same time consumed a little of the battery, but it was efficient during a 45-minute commute. GPS positioning remained stable, and no crash occurred when using the apps.
Midday Battery Check

At noon, the battery had reached 72 per cent, indicating moderate consumption when it was in constant use. There was no excessive heating caused by light gaming and social media glancing, and this showed good energy management.
Lunch Break Camera Test

Impressive reproduction of colours was exhibited by photos that were captured in the indoor environment and used artificial light. The portrait mode was also effective, between subjects and backgrounds were naturally divided and had natural edges. Video recording was also uninterrupted with a few frame jumps.
Afternoon Workload

The video calls, note-taking applications and cloud storage uploads did not reduce the performance when multitasking. The phone was used to multitask with several applications simultaneously, and no apparent lag was seen.
Evening Photography

Low-light evening shots were also not blurred and had reduced noise. Night mode showed improved details without bloating of areas, and close-up photos remained on point, thus showing the adaptable camera usage.
Streaming and Media Playback

Moderate battery life for watching videos on YouTube and Netflix. The image was full of vibrant colours, and the sound that came from the speakers was clean and well-balanced. The playback did not stutter.
Battery End-of-Day

By 10 pm, the Pixel 6 had roughly 18 per cent battery left, having been used heavily for calls, messages, streaming and photography. The phone lasted a full day before needing to be recharged in the late afternoon.
Overall Impression

Pixel 6 is providing a trusted all-day battery life and flexible camera functions. It is also multitasking, responsive and has good photo quality in different lighting conditions. It is a reliable and convenient handset for ordinary consumers.
